In Estonian

Some people are asking why the Estonian theatre scene needs a theatre festival when the times are as hard as they are today. We do not think like that because, for example, why should a bird have wings? Because it will die when it cannot fly. It might not die of hunger, but of yearning. Lack of breadth. That is why the Estonian Theatre Festival will be held in September.

Despite the times being difficult, the festival will be bigger and also, hopefully, richer in content than before because this year DRAMA is held together with two other festivals: DRAAMAKE (TinyDRAMA) which is meant for the younger audience and OurDRAMA which compares the original plays of the three Baltic States.
Swallows, for example, simply fly lower when the weather is bad but they still fly and overcome the difficult times.

The best will come together!
